Memorial Day Weekend Tribute

With the upcoming holiday approaching I thought I would blog about some fabulous things to do over the weekend......or maybe not so fabulous!

Perhaps you would like to get out for a nice bike ride with your daughter


Or maybe, you would like to take your baby 4-wheeling

Possibly, you will be attending a graduation party in which case you will need a gift

Maybe, you will just want to take the family for a nice joy ride

Also, you and the boys can have an old fashioned baby throwing contest in the back yard

Or, you can take a dive into the pool....or cement

Lastly and most appropriate, you should all have a cookout!

Cupcake is 15 weeks!

Cupcake is 15 weeks old!! I can't believe in just a few short weeks Cupcake won't be Cupcake anymore.....it will either be our Boy name or our Girl name. That's so unbelievable.

.

At week 15 they say the baby can now hear and respond to your voice. Now is the time to start talking and signing to your belly. Well after I told hubs that last night he couldn't get is head away from my belly button. He kept talking and touching, cupping his hands around his mouth and yelling. It was hilarious. The only funny part about it I thought is he kept using a funny voice, like a baby voice or the voice he uses when he's imitating how the dogs would sound if they spoke. I thought it was so funny because I was like, "Your baby's not going to know who you are unless you're planning to always talk like that!" Haha, it was so cute. He is so cute.

It was fun too because I started to feel little jabs or flutters. Could that have been my baby move? I've been feeling those more and more but they don't feel like much but little dull pain spots so I've just been thinking they've been gas bubbles or something. But last night they were crazy flutters when he was talking to Cupcake. So much fun.

Next week is just a Dr. apt. then in a couple weeks after that we'll have our ultrasound to see it's blue or pink for this family. Can't wait!

I'm gettng fat!

Or at least that's what I told my SIL (sister-in-law) that I feel like.
.
Here was the conversation and the "Ah-Hah!" moment!

SIL: "So are you showing yet?"
.
Me: "No. I have a belly but I think I'm just gaining wait. I'm getting fat."
.
SIL: "Well, what the hell do you think you're getting a beer belly? Your pregnant crack-head!"
(p.s. crack-head is a very dear form of endearment from her!!)

Me: "HAha!! Yeah I guess you're right! I can't blame it on the beer anymore!"
.
Gotta love those friends who can help you keep things in perspective!
