One year ago today I married my best friend. It's hard to believe all that has happened in our lives in just one year. I keep telling hubs, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but it feels like it's been longer than only a year!! . Here is a trip down memory lane of the events that took place in my life a year ago. Some pics are out of order as I am so technology deficient.
2008 May - Went off Birth Control
2008 Nov. - Still no period
2008 Nov. - Diagnosed with PCOS
2008 Dec. - Back on the pill, vitamins, hollistic approach to improving my PCOS
2009 June- Back off the pill, ready to start clomid, metformin, anything to get pregnant, Dr. runs tests.
2009 July-Blood test comes back with high LFT (Liver function test) Get sent to GI Dr.
(Our RE now explains that high LFT is also a side effect of PCOS. My GI Dr. didn't know that. Hence the next 3 months of tests...boo)
2009 Sept.-Repeat blood work, still high LFT. One month clean of all vitamins and alcohol.
2009 Oct. - Repeat blood work, still high LFT. GI Dr. Finally gives "OK" to go on Clomid.
2009 Nov. - 50mg Clomid. Using OPK. BFN
2009 Dec. - 50mg Clomid. Using OPK.
2009 Dec. - HSG Pass! Tubes open!....BFN
2010 Jan. - 100mg Clomid. Using OPK. IUI BFN

I am a twenty "something" year old who, through trials and tribulations, i.e. needles, pills, dildo cams and sperm clinics, have finally been blessed with a little miracle baby. This is my journey of infertility as I try to laugh through sarcasim and battle pcos, all while keeping the romance in my partner and I's new found intimacy (if that's what you call it when you know their sperm count, and they've seen your ovaries.)
